Country risk heuristic (TRIPWIRE)

CEV-OS / Data API / Country risk heuristic (TRIPWIRE)

CEV-OS Data API · last updated 2026-11-04. Status: live. Version 1.

Use this when you need a transparent heuristic country-risk score (list or one ISO2 country) with advisory level, recent incident counts and the weighted components — not an official rating.

What it is

TRIPWIRE's country-risk heuristic: a weighted sum of recent conflict/unrest, UCDP fatalities, US State / UK FCDO advisory level, GDACS hazards and CDC outbreak notices. List all scored countries or pass country=ISO2 for the component breakdown. Location is country-level only. Heuristic, not an official rating or travel warning.

Parameters

Query parameters for GET /v1/country-risk
NameTypeDescriptionConstraints
countrystringISO 3166-1 alpha-2: return that country's profile instead of the ranked list.example UA; pattern ^[A-Za-z]{2}$
min_scorenumberList only: minimum score 0-1 (default 0).example 0.15; min 0; max 1
limitintegerList only: max countries (1-300, default 50).example 50; min 1; max 300

Example request

No account and no key. Query values below are the examples or defaults from the registry. An optional free key (header x-api-key) raises the limits; create one at https://cev-os.com/#api_keys after signing in with a verified email (Google sign-in is already verified).

curl -s "https://api.cev-os.com/v1/country-risk?country=UA&min_score=0.15&limit=50"

Example response

Every /v1 response is a JSON envelope (schema_version, product, timestamps, license, attribution, data). The registry example is the data member:
